Americas Gold and Silver Corporation Reports Strong Production Results for Q4-2023 and Full Year; Updates on Galena Exploration

Mining

Americas Gold and Silver Corporation has announced its production results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2023, along with an update on the exploration results at the Galena Complex. In Q4-2023, the company achieved its strongest production quarter of the year, with consolidated attributable silver production significantly increasing compared to the same period in 2022. Despite the robust production in Q4-2023, the company’s annual silver production fell slightly short of its original guidance. Additional silver production was expected from the Galena Complex but was delayed due to operational issues. This delayed production, however, was processed early in 2024, positively impacting Q1-2024 silver production.

The company is making significant progress with financing for the capital requirements at its El Cajón and Zone 120 silver-copper project at the Cosalá Operations. The goal is to start producing higher-grade silver-copper concentrates by the end of 2024. The Galena Complex exploration team has defined exciting new veins and extended known mineralization, potentially adding mineable resources and positively impacting planned 2024 silver production totals. icon
