Aurubis, a leading supplier of non-ferrous metals and a specialist in copper recycling, has announced a leadership change. Steffen Hoffmann will join the company as the new Chief Financial Officer starting October 1. Hoffmann, 54, will be taking over from Rainer Verhoeven, who is set to depart on June 30—a transition that was planned earlier this year.
Bringing a wealth of experience from his previous role as Vice President of Treasury and Investor Relations at Mercedes-Benz Group, Hoffmann is expected to steer Aurubis’s finance department for an initial tenure of three years. His extensive background in finance and investor relations at a major automotive manufacturer highlights his capability to support Aurubis’s growth and sustainability initiatives in the non-ferrous metals sector.
