Capstone Copper has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2024. The company reported copper production totaling 42,121 tonnes, with C1 cash costs of $2.88 per payable pound of copper produced. The company’s CEO, John MacKenzie, highlighted the strong start to the year, with the company’s Mantoverde mine poised for full production.
Key operational highlights for the quarter include consolidated copper production across multiple sites: Pinto Valley produced 15,672 tonnes, Mantos Blancos produced 10,967 tonnes, Mantoverde produced 9,476 tonnes, and Cozamin produced 6,006 tonnes. The company reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of $4.8 million, equivalent to $(0.01) per share.
