CleanTech Lithium Open to Partnering with Chile’s ENAMI in Lithium Projects

CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQB:CTLHF) has expressed its willingness to consider inviting Chile’s state mining company, ENAMI, to become a minority partner in its two projects located in Chile.

CleanTech’s subsidiaries in Chile, Atacama Salt Lakes and Laguna Negro Francisco, have recently submitted applications for special operation contracts (CEOL) concerning the Laguna Verde and Francisco Basin projects.

These CEOL applications are noteworthy as they are the first of their kind in Chile since the announcement of the National Lithium Strategy in April 2023. CleanTech engaged in discussions with government representatives and various stakeholders prior to submitting these applications.

In its applications, CleanTech has stated its openness to the possibility of ENAMI joining as a partner in both projects. The terms of this potential partnership would align with other joint venture arrangements that ENAMI has in the mining sector in Chile.

Aldo Boitano, Chief Executive of CleanTech Lithium, commented on this development, saying, “Following presentations on the National Lithium Strategy by Ministers, the government has been clear on the need for establishing public-private partnerships to grow the lithium industry.”

Boitano continued, “Due to our progress to date, we believe it is the right time for CleanTech Lithium to apply for the operating contracts for Laguna Verde and Francisco Basin. We are open to inviting ENAMI to join CTL as a minority partner as part of the new public-private partnership strategy and believe this would be beneficial for all parties involved.”
