Corcel Exploration Acquires Willow Copper Property in British Columbia

Corcel Exploration has announced the acquisition of the Willow Copper Property in British Columbia’s Omineca Mining Division. The property, located approximately 4 kilometers southeast of the Sustut Copper Deposit held by Imperial Metals, consists of a single claim block totaling around 1,160 hectares. This acquisition was made through direct staking by Corcel.

The Willow Property shares a similar geological environment with the nearby Sustut Copper Deposit, which was discovered in 1971 by Falconbridge Ltd. The area is underlain by the Upper Triassic Takla Group, specifically the Savage Mountain Formation and Moosevale Formation. A major fault striking northwest-southeast runs through the southern part of the Sustut claims, potentially indicating similar mineralization patterns at Willow.

Corcel plans to conduct a detailed review of all historical data on the Willow Property and surrounding areas. Following this review, the company will outline any priority fieldwork necessary for advancing the project.

The historical resource estimate for the Sustut Copper Deposit, based on the CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves adopted in 2000, indicates the potential viability of the project. However, Corcel cautions that a Qualified Person has not verified these historical estimates, and they should not be considered current mineral resources or reserves.

The company notes that grab samples mentioned in the historical data are selective and may not accurately represent the true grade or style of mineralization at the property. Furthermore, the historical exploration data has not been verified by Corcel and may be incomplete. icon
