Hillgrove Resources Reports 17% Increase in May Copper Production

Hillgrove Resources has announced a 17% increase in May copper production, reaching 840 tonnes compared to April’s 719 tonnes. All key operational metrics, including throughput, feed grade, and recovery, have shown continuous improvement.

In May 2024, the company processed 84,789 tonnes of milled ore, with a copper grade of 1.09% and a recovery rate of 90.7%. This is an improvement from April 2024, where 81,426 tonnes were processed, with a copper grade of 0.98% and a recovery rate of 90.0%. March 2024 saw 70,788 tonnes processed with a copper grade of 0.97% and a recovery rate of 85.5%. In February 2024, 33,605 tonnes were processed, with a copper grade of 0.89% and a recovery rate of 79.9%.

Lachlan Wallace, CEO and Managing Director of Hillgrove, highlighted the steady increases in production, feed grade, and recovery. He noted that with the rising copper prices and improved production profile, May’s revenue is expected to exceed costs, marking the first positive financial period since operations began in June 2023. icon
