Hydro Extrusion Announces Layoffs in Småland Amid Tesla Strike

Hydro Extrusion, a subsidiary of Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro, is facing the challenge of laying off 20 employees at its factory in Småland. This decision is a direct consequence of the ongoing strike against the US electric car manufacturer Tesla, as reported by Swedish Radio.

The Hydro Extrusion factory, situated in Vetlanda, employs around 600 people. The facility has been affected since the strike commenced at the end of November last year.

Jonas Bjuhr, CEO of Hydro Extrusion Sweden, confirmed that the layoffs are directly linked to the strike against Tesla over collective agreements. icon
