Mitsubishi Materials Announces Metals Production Forecast for First Half of Fiscal Year 2025

Mitsubishi Materials has released its production plans for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. According to the announcement, the company expects to produce 37,349 metric tons of refined copper, 2,515 metric tons of refined lead, 3,933 kilograms of refined gold, and 29,667 kilograms of refined silver each month from April 2024 to September 2024.

This forecast represents a comparison to both the previous six months (October 2023 to March 2024) and the year-on-year results from April 2023 to September 2023. The planned production of refined copper shows an approximate 2% increase year-on-year, with a notable 6% increase at the Naoshima Smelter & Refinery, although a slight decrease of about 2% is anticipated at the Onahama Smelter & Refinery. Refined gold and silver production is expected to rise, primarily due to an increase in received volume. icon
