Remedium Lifecare has announced a strategic partnership with UK-based Angel Partners to acquire technology for manufacturing lithium carbonate in India. This collaboration, effective from July 29, 2024, aims to bolster India’s capabilities in producing essential materials for lithium-ion batteries.
In addition to this partnership, Remedium Lifecare has also entered into an annual supply agreement with Turkey’s Alfa Chemicals and Solvents. Starting in the first quarter of 2025, this agreement will see the supply of technical-grade lithium carbonate, valued at an estimated USD 20-25 million for the year. This material is crucial for the production of lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and portable electronics.
A statement from Remedium Lifecare highlighted the significance of these agreements: “We are happy to announce that, effective July 29, 2024, Remedium Lifecare has partnered with Angel Partners to obtain technology for lithium carbonate production in India. Concurrently, we have signed an annual supply agreement with Alfa Chemicals and Solvents, Turkey, also effective from July 29, 2024.”
According to zeebiz.com, Remedium Lifecare plans to collaborate with various contract manufacturers to produce technical-grade lithium carbonate using the technology acquired from Angel Partners.
