SK Nexilis, the South Korean specialist in copper foil for electric vehicle batteries, is currently finalizing its production facility in Stalowa Wola, Poland, with 60% of the project completed. Since announcing the investment in 2021, the landscape for construction costs and investor incentives has evolved. CEO Ki Young Do of SK Nexilis Poland has highlighted that recent changes in EU regulations could enable the company to benefit from grants under more favorable conditions than previously available.
The CEO has emphasized the expectation for the Polish government to further support the electromobility industry, aiming to position Poland as a leader in this sector within the European Union. This push for enhanced incentives reflects the broader challenges and opportunities facing investors in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle supply chain.
