Vedanta Aluminium has appointed Luca Zipponi as the CEO of its Rolled Products division. Zipponi, who brings over 30 years of experience in operations and strategy, will be responsible for driving growth and managing all operations related to the product group. These products have applications in various sectors, including automotive, insulation, power projects, electrical, and packaging.
Zipponi’s extensive background, including his previous role as Group Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director UK at Reflexallen Group, positions him to enhance Vedanta Aluminium’s market leadership and operational efficiency. His focus will be on leveraging technology to drive innovation and deliver greater value to customers.
Vedanta Aluminium operates a state-of-the-art rolled products facility in Korba, Chhattisgarh, with a capacity of 0.72 lakh tonnes per annum (LTPA). The facility includes advanced infrastructure such as casting stations, continuous casters, and both hot and cold rolled mills.
As part of Vedanta Limited, Vedanta Aluminium is India’s largest aluminium producer, accounting for over half of the country’s aluminium output, with 2.37 million tonnes produced in FY2023-24. The company is also a key player in value-added aluminium products used in core industries.
