Kezad Group and UAE-based Azizi Developments have entered into a 50-year land lease agreement for the construction of 12 advanced factories in Kezad Al Ma’mourah (Kezad A). With an investment of AED 1 billion ($270 million) from Azizi Developments, the project will include facilities for a variety of manufacturing processes essential to the construction industry.
The 220,000 square meter complex will feature a reinforcement steel cut and bend facility, timber joinery and duct fabrication workshops, a modular construction factory, an aluminum and glass fabrication unit, and an aluminum extrusion plant. These facilities will focus on producing essential components for the real estate industry, utilizing state-of-the-art infrastructure to enhance design and production efficiency.
A key focus of the project is sustainability. Modular construction using environmentally friendly materials, such as aluminum, aligns with Kezad’s commitment to sustainable industrial development. These practices will facilitate quicker, cost-effective, and greener production methods, addressing the increasing demand for housing materials in the region while minimizing waste and environmental impact.
Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities & Free Zones at AD Ports Group, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This project further strengthens our ecosystem of manufacturers and highlights Kezad’s role as a supportive partner for business expansion."
Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, highlighted the importance of the project, saying, "We are excited to establish our new facilities in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi’s Al Ma’mourah. These factories will enable us to produce high-quality construction materials and contribute to the region’s real estate sector."
