In a significant development for the UAE's industrial sector, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad Group), a leading entity in integrated and purpose-built economic zones, has inked a lease agreement with Automotive Precision Technology (APT), a branch of the UAE-based Al Ghurair Group. The pact paves the way for APT to establish a cutting-edge automotive aluminium component manufacturing facility within Kezad, leveraging a strategic location adjacent to Emirates Global Aluminium.
Set to span over a 30,000-sq-m area, the facility is poised to commence operations by early next year, marking a notable advancement in the UAE’s automotive value chain and ancillary supply chains. The agreement was signed amidst the presence of notable figures including Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, UAE, alongside other distinguished officials.
Al Suwaidi highlighted the project's alignment with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and the Make it in the Emirates initiative, underscoring its contribution to the UAE’s industrial ecosystem, investment appeal, and economic diversification efforts. The venture is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities for local talent, fostering technical proficiency among Emiratis.
