Inauguration of New Industrial Unit

Citic Dicastal, a Chinese aluminum casting and automotive part production leader, inaugurated its third facility, "Dika Morocco Castings," in Kénitra, Morocco. This event marks Citic Dicastal's five-year presence in Morocco and aligns with the tenth anniversary of China's "Belt and Road" initiative and 65 years of China-Morocco diplomatic relations.

Project Details and Investment

The new plant, focused on manufacturing cast aluminum components for powertrains and chassis, represents an investment of approximately 180 million euros. Spanning 20,000 m² on a 40,000 m² site, it aims to produce 5 million parts annually, with 90% destined for export, mainly to Europe and the United States. This facility is expected to create 1,000 direct jobs.

Background and Expansion

This new unit follows the Group's first two plants inaugurated in 2019 and 2020, dedicated to producing aluminum wheels. These existing facilities have a combined annual production capacity of 6 million wheels and employ 1,400 people, representing a total investment of 350 million euros.

Phase One Completion and Future Plans

Badr Lahmoudi, Vice President and General Manager of Dicastal Morocco Africa, stated that the new plant, currently employing 450 people, will expand its workforce following the completion of its second phase. Citic Dicastal is committed to further investment in Morocco, leveraging the country's strategic location, infrastructure, and human capital.

Environmental Commitment and Energy Strategy

The CITIC DICASTAL industrial complex in Morocco operates with green energy and focuses on environmental sustainability. A high-voltage substation has been constructed to enhance energy efficiency and promote renewable energy usage.
