Kallevik, currently Executive Vice President and Head of Hydro's Aluminium Metal business area, has been with the company since 2019. Before this, he served as Hydro's CFO from 2013 to 2019 and has held various senior management roles within the company.

Kallevik expressed enthusiasm about leading Hydro towards its 2030 strategic goals, emphasizing the importance of the company's low-carbon initiatives and strategic partnerships in the green transition. He highlighted the ongoing commitment to cost control, continuous improvement, and the development of innovative technologies and commercial opportunities as key to Hydro's success.

Hilde Merete Aasheim, with a 17-year stint at Hydro, is praised for her leadership during a period of significant global changes, including enhancing the company's profitability and elevating its sustainability agenda. She will be departing at the end of June 2024.
