According to the latest statistics from the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum production experienced an uptick in January 2024. With estimated figures for China included, the daily average production reached 194,800 tonnes, marking an increase from 190,300 tonnes per day in January 2023, and slightly down from 194,900 tonnes per day in the preceding month.
The total global primary aluminum production for January 2024 amounted to 6.039 million tonnes, showing a rise from 5.900 million tonnes recorded in January 2023. This data underscores a positive trend in the aluminum industry, reflecting a growing demand and potentially signaling a robust year for aluminum producers worldwide.
