Encouraging Extraction Results at Narraburra
Godolphin Resources Limited has announced promising results from the first series of tests in the second phase of metallurgical testing at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). These tests, conducted on the Narraburra Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, have shown notable leachability of REEs from composite samples representative of mining intervals.
High Recovery Rates of Key Magnet REEs
The testing demonstrated up to a 75% recovery rate for four critical magnet REEs, including Praseodymium (75%), Neodymium (82%), Terbium (74%), and Dysprosium (73%). These results are significant, considering the importance of these elements in various industrial applications, including electronics and renewable energy sectors.
Consistent Recoveries Across Project
The initial results from ANSTO suggest that the treatment processes for both saprolite (dominated by kaolinite clays) and saprock (clay weathered rock) rock types, which constitute the majority of the REE mineral resource at Narraburra, are expected to yield consistent REE recoveries across the project.
Narraburra's Potential Highlighted
These findings underscore Narraburra's substantial potential as Godolphin continues to explore development options. The Narraburra Project, located near Temora in central west New South Wales, boasts a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 94.9 million tonnes at 739ppm TREO, including a higher-grade component of 20 million tonnes at 1,079ppm TREO, as per JORC (2012) standards.
