IAMGOLD Announces Strong 2023 Production Results and Progress at Cote Gold Project

IAMGOLD Corporation has announced its preliminary full-year and fourth quarter 2023 production results, along with notable progress at the Cote Gold Project in Ontario, Canada. The company's production results for 2023 align with the higher end of its annual production guidance.

2023 Production Highlights

- IAMGOLD achieved an attributable gold production of 465,000 ounces in 2023, which sits at the top end of its annual production guidance range of 410,000 to 470,000 ounces.

- The Essakane project reported fourth-quarter attributable production of 108,000 ounces, contributing to a full-year production of 372,000 ounces, close to its annual guidance of 380,000 ounces.

- Westwood outperformed its annual production guidance of 70,000 to 90,000 ounces, achieving 28,000 ounces in the fourth quarter and a total of 93,000 ounces for the year.

Cote Gold Project Update

- The commissioning activities at Cote Gold are progressing well, with the start-up of the primary crushing circuit underway. The project remains on track for initial production in March 2024.

Renaud Adams, President and CEO of IAMGOLD, expressed satisfaction with the year's performance, particularly highlighting the achievements of the Essakane and Westwood teams. He noted that the challenges faced by the Essakane team were considerable, yet they managed to meet their targets, while the Westwood team continued to increase production.
