Impala Platinum announced that a strike at its Bafokeng operations has ended after nearly a week. The strike, which began on June 27, involved contractors at the North Shaft of the Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mine (BRPM), who were demanding permanent positions.
The company confirmed that after constructive discussions between management and employee representatives, the issues were resolved. As a result, normal attendance levels resumed from the morning shift today.
