Infinity Lithium Reports Exceptional Lithium Recovery Results from Locked Cycle Test

February 7, 2024

Infinity Lithium has successfully completed a Locked Cycle Test (LCT) program at Simulus Group laboratories, demonstrating exceptional lithium recoveries from its San José project. The LCT program utilized the Li-Stream RPK™ process, achieving over 90% recovery of lithium from Run of Mine (ROM) to the final product. This marks a significant advancement in the project's development, confirming the potential for consistent production of battery-grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate from lithium-bearing mica found at San José.

The testing and optimization of the Li-Stream RPK process were conducted to support ongoing engineering studies, confirming and even surpassing the lithium recovery assumptions made in the updated scoping study. These results will provide crucial data for future detailed engineering studies and process optimizations, including the design of a demonstration plant.

The completion of this LCT program represents a critical milestone for Infinity Lithium, as it not only confirms the viability of the Li-Stream RPK process but also enhances the San José Lithium Project's potential as a significant source of lithium for the battery industry. The company is now evaluating the next steps for further development of the Li-Stream RPK™ process, aiming to solidify its position in the lithium production sector.
