Exploring Sustainable Aluminum Solutions in EV Sector
Norsk Hydro, a key player in the aluminum industry, has entered into a partnership with the UK-based electric vehicle start-up Watt Electric Vehicle Company (WEVC). The collaboration, as reported by Reuters, will focus on the utilization of recycled and low-carbon aluminum in the construction of electric vans.
WEVC's Development and Production Plans
WEVC is advancing in the electric vehicle sector, having developed a prototype and planning to create a small fleet of test vehicles for prospective customers by 2024, according to WEVC CEO Neil Yates. This initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable automotive manufacturing, with series production potentially commencing towards the end of 2025.
