Rusal Announces New Managing Director at Achinsk Alumina Refinery

Rusal has appointed Vitaly Prigarin as the new Managing Director of the Achinsk Alumina Refinery, effective from March 2nd. Prigarin takes over from Evgeny Zhukov, who will assume a new role within the company. This change is part of Rusal's ongoing program to rotate the heads of its enterprises, aiming to enhance the efficient execution of the company's strategic projects.

Prior to his new appointment, Prigarin served as the director of the department of development of the production system within Rusal's alumina division. His experience and leadership are expected to contribute significantly to the refinery's operations and projects.

The Achinsk Alumina Refinery, one of the largest alumina production facilities in Russia, reported a capacity of 1.069 million tonnes of alumina per year in 2019. More recent production figures have not been disclosed. This leadership transition underscores Rusal's commitment to continuous improvement and efficient management across its operations.
