Shyam Metalics Announces $50 Million USD Investment for New Aluminium Project in Odisha

Shyam Metalics, a Kolkata-based metal-producing group, has disclosed its ambitious plans to establish a greenfield aluminium project in Odisha with an investment of Rs 450 crore ($54.14 million USD). The proposed project aims to focus on the production of aluminium flat rolled products, boasting an annual capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes.

This significant investment marks Shyam Metalics' strategic expansion into the aluminium sector, emphasizing the company's commitment to diversifying its product offerings beyond its current focus on steel products, ferro alloys, and stainless steel. The initiative is anticipated to create 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, reinforcing Shyam Metalics' role in fostering economic growth and employment in the region.
