South32 Reports Mixed Q3 Production Results; Recovery Efforts Underway at Australia Manganese

South32, an Australian mining and metals company, has released its production figures for the third quarter, showing a marginal increase in alumina production but a slight decline in aluminum output. The company produced 1.240 million tonnes of alumina, a minimal rise from 1.239 million tonnes in the previous year. However, aluminum production dipped slightly to 278 thousand tonnes from 279 thousand tonnes.

The company also reported a slight increase in metallurgical coal production, reaching 1.244 million tonnes, up from 1.240 million tonnes year-over-year.
