U.S. Imposes Sanctions on Samara Metallurgical Plant and Leadership

The U.S. has levied sanctions against Samara Metallurgical Plant, Russia's premier aluminium semi-finished product manufacturer, alongside its General Director, Mikhail Spichak, and President, Maxim Smirnov. Announced by the U.S. State Department, these measures are part of a substantial sanctions package marking the second anniversary of hostilities in Ukraine and commemorating Navalny.

The sanctions entail asset freezes within U.S. jurisdiction and prohibit American transactions with the affected individuals and entity.
