On the production site of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, a complex for mechanical processing of titanium parts has been opened and put into operation. The new production line is considered unique in Russia. The commissioning of the production facilities took place on June 30, 2023, during the 90th anniversary of VSMPO in the city of Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Oblast.

To increase production capacity and expand the order portfolio, the Corporation implemented a large-scale investment project to construct a new modern workshop for processing rings and discs made of titanium alloys. The investment project, costing 3.2 billion rubles, was implemented over three years.

As part of the project, buildings with an area of 10,000 square meters were constructed, modern equipment was installed, and the first stage of the ring and disc semi-finishing processing line was launched. The next stage of the investment project will be the construction of the second stage, which will allow for the final processing of rings and discs for aviation and engine manufacturing.

The new production facility represents the final stage of the titanium corporation's production chain, from the production of titanium sponge to the manufacture of final parts for consumers.

Mikhail Shelkov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, stated: "The launch of the new production line is the culmination of three years of painstaking work and investment. The result we see today has exceeded our expectations: the new production, which has no analogues in Russia, promises not only the creation of new jobs but also an increase in the volume of products manufactured for the Russian industry. By utilizing the capabilities of the new mechanical workshop, we are enhancing the competitiveness of our business and once again strengthening the position of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation as the undisputed leader in the titanium industry."
