Jiaxin New Materials Conducts Trial Production of High-End Aluminium Alloy

Jiaxin New Materials Company has successfully conducted a trial production of its new 7-series high-end aluminium alloy round ingot product. This development marks a major milestone for the China-based company as it expands its product line with a high-strength aluminium alloy designed for demanding applications.

The newly developed alloy primarily uses zinc as its main alloying element, offering excellent plasticity following solution treatment, which allows it to serve as a substitute for steel in high-temperature environments. In addition to its lightweight properties, this alloy provides superior corrosion resistance and weldability, making it suitable for a range of uses including aerospace, mould manufacturing, mechanical equipment, and various other industrial applications.

The trial production involved a comprehensive project demonstration, with Jiaxin's management and technical teams optimizing process designs and developing a detailed production plan. The process was meticulously tracked, covering material selection, batching, smelting, purification, casting, and homogenization. By refining batching techniques and adjusting casting parameters, the company was able to resolve the issue of crack tendency in the new alloy, ultimately achieving a successful outcome.

This accomplishment not only marks a significant achievement in producing high-end 7-series aluminium alloy products but also provides valuable experience for future product development, enhancing Jiaxin's competitiveness in the market.
