New High-Tech Workshop Launched in Kaluga Region

Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladimir Popov, announced the successful completion and operation of a new high-tech workshop, built and equipped in less than a year. The relevant agreement for this project was signed during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2023. The total investment in the project exceeded 500 million rubles.

The new facility is expected to create 150 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy. The company behind this initiative, VMK Invest, was established in 2007. Its production capabilities include an in-house foundry for the production of cylindrical ingots and two modern press lines equipped with 18MN (7') and 28MN (9') presses.

The rapid development and launch of this high-tech workshop underscore the region's commitment to advancing industrial capabilities and economic growth.
