Ducab Metals Doubles Aluminium Output to Meet Global Demand
Ducab Metals Business (DMB), part of the Ducab Group, has announced the doubling of its aluminium production capacity from 55,000 to 110,000 tonnes per year. The company has also expanded its copper production capabilities, responding to rising global demand for its UAE-manufactured products.
This expansion supports the UAE’s industrial growth plan, Operation 300bn, which aims to diversify the economy and enhance the country's industrial sector. By boosting production capacity, DMB strengthens its position in the global metals market, reinforcing the UAE’s role in high-quality manufacturing.
The announcement was made during the Ducab Metals Business Expansion Forum, held in partnership with Middle East Economic Digest (MEED). The event gathered experts from industry, government, and academia to discuss the UAE’s industrial strategy and DMB’s role in advancing innovation and sustainability, including its efforts to develop green aluminium.
Key figures at the event included Ducab Group CEO Mohammed Almutawa, DMB CEO Mohamed Al Ahmedi, and representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, KEZAD Group, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. Almutawa emphasized that Ducab’s expansion aligns with Operation 300bn, enhancing the company's ability to meet international demand and strengthening its global competitiveness. Al Ahmedi highlighted that the doubling of aluminium production and expanded copper output underscores DMB’s leadership in metal manufacturing and its commitment to innovation.
DMB’s recent expansion at KEZAD Group, increasing its facility by over 51,000 square meters, and the acquisition of GIC Magnet further solidify its role as a key player in the industrial sector. These moves allow DMB to cater to industries such as healthcare, automotive, and packaging, broadening its global reach.
