FLSmidth has secured a significant order to deliver five AFP2500 concentrate and tailings filters to South32's Hermosa critical minerals project in the Patagonia Mountains of southern Arizona, USA. The equipment will play a crucial role in supporting the project’s commitment to minimizing environmental impact and contributing to the supply of essential minerals like zinc and manganese, which are vital for the continued electrification of society.

The Hermosa project, operated by South32, has been designed with a focus on sustainability, aiming to reduce water consumption by 75% compared to other mines in the region. FLSmidth's advanced filtration technology will be instrumental in achieving this goal, aligning with the company's MissionZero ambitions of enabling sustainable mining practices.
