Minmetals Resources Signs Sales Agreement for Dugald River Zinc Concentrate with Minmetals North-Europe

Minmetals Resources announced on July 8, 2024, that its subsidiary MMG Dugald River Pty Ltd has entered into a sales agreement with Minmetals North-Europe for the sale of approximately 10,000 dry metric tons of zinc concentrate. This quantity may vary by 10% at the seller's discretion. Minmetals North-Europe is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation (CMC), the ultimate controlling shareholder of Minmetals Resources.

The Dugald River operation, located in Australia, produces about 360,000 dry metric tons of zinc concentrate annually. China remains a crucial market for zinc concentrate, with CMC investing in several major zinc smelters in the country that process Dugald River's output. Additionally, the CMC Group maintains trading relationships with other Chinese zinc smelters that may also utilize the Dugald River zinc concentrate.
