Trigon Metals Commences Commercial Production at Kombat Mine

October 16, 2023

On October 11, 2023, Trigon Metals reported the initiation of commercial production at its Kombat Mine in Namibia.

Operational Metrics Achieved

The definition of commercial production for the company is maintaining at least 70% of production capacity for 30 consecutive days, which the mine has now reached. The start of this new phase is a key operational detail, expected to influence the mine's economic parameters.

The mill began producing concentrate on August 3, 2023, and by August 21, the operations expanded to full-scale production. Recent operational records over a consistent 30-day period show the mill operating at an average capacity of 77.8%, with copper recovery rates at 86%, yielding 650 tonnes of concentrate.

The current output of concentrate from the mine has led to the creation of a regular shipping schedule for continuous distribution.
