Umicore has launched Nexyclus, a comprehensive service offering fully-recycled precious metals, including platinum-group metals (PGM), with three distinct types of certifications. This initiative is presented as the broadest global offering of recycled precious metals, aimed at addressing resource scarcity and the growing demand for responsibly sourced, low-carbon footprint materials.
Nexyclus will provide 100% high-quality recycled metals, initially featuring gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and rhodium. These metals are sourced exclusively from dependable suppliers that comply with Umicore’s responsible sourcing framework. Customers will have the option to select from three recycled content offerings, each backed by chain of custody certifications that are audited by independent third parties.
The launch of Nexyclus is supported by Umicore’s extensive experience in precious metals recovery and recycling, particularly through its operations in Hoboken. The Hoboken facility is noted for its capacity to process and recover 17 different precious metals from up to 200 varied and complex industrial waste streams, meeting the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
