Alumil India Launches Loop 80, Pioneering 80% Recycled Aluminium for Architectural Systems
Alumil India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Alumil Group, has launched Loop 80, a groundbreaking certified aluminium product containing 80% recycled material, setting a new global standard for sustainability. This follows the success of Loop 60, the company's first certified recycled aluminium, introduced in 2023.
Loop 80 represents a significant advancement, achieving an impressive 87% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the carbon footprint of primary aluminium production. By reusing existing aluminium, Alumil is driving substantial energy and resource savings, significantly decreasing reliance on bauxite mining.
"The introduction of Loop 80 sets a new benchmark in the architectural systems industry, both domestically and globally," said Alumil. "This follows the successful launch of Loop 60 in 2023, which was the first certified recycled aluminium with 60% recycled content. Building on this foundation, we surpassed our initial targets by closing 2023 with 67% recycled aluminium, earning certification from TÜV AUSTRIA, a leading global certification body."
Loop 80 is among the world's few certified recycled aluminium solutions specifically designed for architectural systems, and it is now available globally, including in India. This product also enhances Alumil's participation in the Recycling Technologies for Circular Aluminium (REcAL) project, an initiative that aims to transform aluminium recycling. With a focus on environmental responsibility and energy conservation, Alumil continues to lead in green innovation, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable practices.
