ALRO, one of Europe's largest aluminum producers, has announced the opening of its new aluminum processing facility, Cutsmart Systems, in Slatina, Romania. The facility, developed with an investment of RON 13.7 million (approximately USD 2.9 million), is designed to enhance ALRO’s production capabilities by providing precision cutting services tailored to various industries' needs.

The launch of Cutsmart Systems is a significant step in ALRO's strategy to offer more value-added services, expanding its ability to meet the complex requirements of its clients. The facility's advanced technology enables high-volume, precise cuts of aluminum products, ensuring top-quality, customized solutions. This new development also supports ALRO’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact by optimizing material transportation and supplying only the required amount of aluminum, helping to lower CO2 emissions.

Marin Cilicianu, CEO of ALRO, noted, “The opening of Cutsmart Systems marks an important milestone in our commitment to innovation and efficiency. This facility strengthens our ability to meet the increasingly complex demands of our customers while supporting our environmental goals. It is also a reflection of our broader strategy of providing sophisticated, high-value aluminum products.”

Alongside the facility launch, ALRO is also revitalizing its brand to better reflect the company's transformation over the past two decades. With a focus on high-value-added aluminum for industries such as aerospace, the updated brand image showcases the results of more than USD 900 million in investments aimed at improving technology, efficiency, and reducing the company’s ecological footprint.
