Eureka Lithium Commences 2024 Exploration Program in Nunavik
Eureka Lithium has announced the launch of its 2024 exploration program targeting lithium-bearing pegmatite deposits in the Nunavik region. The company will begin its extensive fieldwork in the New Leaf area in the coming weeks.
Continuing its collaboration with GroundTruth Exploration, Eureka aims to build on the successes of the previous year. GroundTruth, known for its expertise in remote exploration, will lead the field program with a team experienced in the Nunavik region.
Eureka President and interim-CEO DJ Bowen expressed enthusiasm about the renewed partnership with GroundTruth, highlighting the potential achievements for the 2024 season.
The exploration program will focus on detailed prospecting and targeted till sampling across zones of interest identified from the 2023 results. Samples will be initially scanned and sorted in the field using a handheld XRF analyzer, with selected samples sent to laboratories for further analysis. Enhanced quality assurance and control measures have been implemented for this year's program.
In addition, a UAV magnetic geophysical survey will be conducted using drones, in partnership with Overhead Intelligence. This approach aims to achieve cost-effective results with minimal wildlife disturbance compared to traditional aircraft surveys.
The program's strategy includes targeting the most promising areas for an initial drilling program using a lightweight and mobile Rotary Air Blast GT RAB Drill.
Eureka Lithium's comprehensive 2024 exploration efforts in Nunavik are set to advance their understanding and development of lithium-bearing pegmatite deposits in the region.
