European Metals Optimizes Lithium Recovery at Cinovec Project
European Metals Holdings Limited has announced updates on the progress of its Cinovec Lithium Project. The company is actively working on the completion timeline for the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and the construction of the lithium processing plant.
The relocation of the lithium processing plant from Dukla to Prunéřov necessitated additional geotechnical work to determine the best construction methods and layout for the new site. Results from this geotechnical work are anticipated by the end of September. Following this, DRA Global will provide a detailed timeline and initiate the final stages of the DFS.
European Metals will update the market with a revised timeline for the DFS once available. Meanwhile, the project team continues to advance several DFS-related programs focused on the Front-End Comminution and Beneficiation circuit (FECAB) and the Lithium Chemical Plant circuit (LCP). These efforts aim to enhance the overall process flowsheet and positively impact project economics.
In previous announcements, the company highlighted improvements in the FECAB process flowsheet. The changes involve integrating both magnetic separation and flotation, as opposed to relying solely on magnetic separation. This adjustment has resulted in a total FECAB lithium recovery rate exceeding 87%.
European Metals remains committed to optimizing the Cinovec Project and delivering a high-quality, battery-grade lithium product with improved economic outcomes. Further updates on the DFS and other project milestones are expected as the company progresses with its plans.
