Rochester Mine Exceeds Expectations, On Track for 2024 Production Goals

September 13, 2024

The Rochester mine, part of Coeur Mining, is on track to meet its full-year 2024 production guidance, with plans to process 8.0 million tons of ore per quarter in the second half of the year. The company anticipates producing between 4.8 to 6.6 million ounces of silver and 37,000 to 50,000 ounces of gold for the year.

Mitchell J. Krebs, Chairman, President, and CEO, highlighted the progress since the recent expansion: "In just six months since first processing ore through the newly-expanded operation, the Rochester team continues to meet or exceed expectations across a number of key performance metrics, which is expected to be a key catalyst for generating companywide positive free cash flow during the second half of the year."

As the operation consistently achieves its nameplate crushing and placement capacity, the focus for the rest of 2024 is on optimizing recovery rates by further reducing material crush size. This refinement is expected to set the stage for continued success in 2025.

Recent exploration within the current mining footprint has also yielded promising results, with higher-grade discoveries potentially enhancing the mine plan. This exploration success positions Rochester for sustained operations over a long expected mine life.
