Adriatic Metals and Boliden Partner for Sustainable Zinc Production

Adriatic Metals and Boliden have announced a collaboration to produce zinc and other metals, adhering to the topmost ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards. Boliden's smelter expansion, the Green Zinc Odda project, will boost the annual production capacity from 200 kilotonnes to 350 kilotonnes, making it one of the most environmentally friendly zinc productions globally.
In a press-release, Vildana Mahmutovic of Adriatic Mines emphasized the alignment of both companies' sustainability goals. Similarly, José Tinoco of Boliden highlighted that the partnership would enhance their ESG targets and smelter expansion in Odda, with both companies aiming to produce metals responsibly.
