Artemis and Anax Join Forces for Pilbara Copper and Gold Projects

September 10, 2024

Artemis Resources and Anax Metals have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the potential of processing copper assets from Artemis' Carlow Castle deposit at the Whim Creek processing hub in Pilbara. The Carlow Castle deposit holds an inferred resource of 64,000 tonnes of copper, and the companies are considering the inclusion of other copper projects in the region.

Additionally, the MoU outlines plans for joint gold exploration on Anax’s project tenure. The Whim Creek processing hub, which is fully permitted, is also being considered for processing copper ore from other sources, including Develop Global’s Sulphur Springs Oxide and GreenTech Metals’ Whundo project.

Anax’s Managing Director, Geoff Laing, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the region’s potential for copper and gold production. Similarly, Artemis’ Executive Director, George Ventouras, emphasized the value of the collaboration in advancing both companies' goals in copper processing and gold exploration in the resource-rich West Pilbara region.
