Enersense and Boliden Sign Agreement for Major Development Project at Odda Plant in Norway

September 20, 2024

Enersense and Swedish metals company Boliden have signed a significant agreement for the ongoing development of Boliden's Odda production plant in Norway. The project, which began in early 2023, focuses on enhancing environmental sustainability and expanding production capacity.

Enersense Works Oy, a part of the company's Industry business area, has been involved in the installation of equipment and steel structures at the site. The newly signed contract extends this partnership to include the installation and fabrication of process piping. This latest contract will be reflected in Enersense's fourth quarter order book.

The Odda plant, once completed, is expected to be one of the most environmentally friendly facilities in the sector globally. "We are very proud to continue our work with Boliden and contribute to such a green development," said Mikko Lampinen, COO of Enersense Works Oy, emphasizing the company's ability to manage complex process piping projects on a large scale.
