Hydrovolt to Open Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Unit in Northern France

Hydrovolt, a joint venture between Norwegian aluminum giant Norsk Hydro and Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt, has announced the opening of a new lithium-ion battery recycling unit in Hourdain, northern France. The facility is set to begin operations in mid-2025 and will be located in the heart of France's "battery valley." The amount of the planned investment has not been disclosed.
