Infinity Mining Expands Pilbara Lithium Holdings to 795 sq km

November 16, 2023

Strategic Expansion in Rich Mining Territory

Infinity Mining has significantly expanded its lithium exploration territory in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, now covering a vast 795 square kilometers. This expansion comes with the acquisition of a new 112 sq km exploration licence from TasEx Geological Services, positioning Infinity Mining as a key player in the region. The newly acquired licence seamlessly integrates with the company's existing Panorama project.

Diverse Mineral Prospects

The Panorama project, situated 30km west of Marble Bar, is not only prospective for lithium but also shows promise for several other minerals. These include intrusive-related nickel-copper systems, shear and conglomerate-hosted gold systems, and volcanic-hosted massive sulphide base-metal deposits. The strategic location of the project near world-class lithium deposits like Pilbara Minerals' Pilgangora and the Wodgina deposit, co-owned by Mineral Resources and Albermarle Corporation, enhances its prospectivity.

CEO's Optimistic Outlook

Joe Groot, CEO of Infinity Mining, expressed excitement over the acquisition, which bolsters the company's footprint in the Pilbara to an impressive 795 km². This move places Infinity Mining in a strong position within the lithium-rich Pilbara region, known for its world-class deposits.

Exploration Beyond Panorama

Apart from the Panorama project, Infinity Mining holds additional Pilbara territory at its Tambourah and Hillside projects. The company recently announced plans to intensify the search for a joint venture partner at Hillside, following promising nickel assay results from its drilling program. The results indicate significant nickel presence, with several zones showing high nickel-chromium ratios.

Focus on Lithium in the EV Era

With the global shift towards electric vehicles and the rising demand for lithium-ion batteries, Infinity Mining is also keen to explore its Panorama project for lithium. The Pilbara terrain, known for its prolific LCT pegmatite deposits, offers a fertile ground for potential lithium discovery. The company is well-positioned to potentially uncover significant lithium deposits, given its large land tenure in this premium exploration region.
