First Stope Blast and Progress in Mining Activities

Kanmantoo Mine has marked a significant milestone with the initiation of bulk mining operations underground. The first stope blast occurred on December 30, 2023, with subsequent blasts gradually increasing in scale. These developments are crucial as the mine transitions to an advanced stage of ore extraction.

Following the initial blast, ore haulage from the production level is in full swing. The ore stockpile is being steadily built up in preparation for the impending copper production campaign, signifying a move towards operational efficiency and output.

The wet plant at Kanmantoo is set to commence commissioning in the coming week. This step is pivotal for the mine's copper production process, which is on schedule to begin in early 2024.
