Premier African Minerals Completes Installation of Ball Mill at Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project

September 21, 2023

Aim-listed Premier African Minerals has successfully installed the ball mill at its Zulu lithium and tantalum project in Zimbabwe. The installation encompasses all essential components, including feeds, discharge elements, pumps, control circuitry, and grinding media, setting the stage for the expected production of up to 1,000 tons of spodumene per month starting in November. CEO George Roach confirmed that the commissioning phase is scheduled to commence this week, with the mill's first operation anticipated on Monday.

While open-pit mining activities at the Zulu site are set to resume next week and there is already a substantial amount of material on the run-of-mine pad, Roach emphasized the importance of ensuring an adequate ore supply for the current processing operations. The temporary suspension of operations at Zulu was necessary to facilitate the installation and commissioning of the mill, a process that involved relocating the RHA mill to Zulu as an interim mitigation measure.
Premier African Minerals will provide further updates in its unaudited interim results for the six months ending June 30, which are scheduled for publication on September 29.
