Wieland Expands its Market Presence in North America with Farmers Copper Ltd. Acquisition

German company Wieland, headquartered in Ulm, has successfully acquired Farmers Copper Ltd., a prominent supplier of copper, brass, and bronze alloys, founded in 1980. Farmers Copper operates from two sites in Texas City and San Antonio, Texas, and the transaction was finalized on July 10.

Renowned for its strong and long-standing customer base, Farmers Copper serves various market segments, including aerospace, marine, defense, oil and gas, and electrical industries. The company's commitment to service, custom processing capabilities, and on-time deliveries sets it apart in the market.

As an ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D-certified copper metal supplier, Farmers Copper maintains a diverse inventory of over 30 copper alloys and other metals.
Wieland plans to integrate Farmers Copper into the service center network of its business unit, Wieland Metal Services. Greg Keown, President of Wieland Metal Services, emphasizes the goal of continuously delivering exceptional value to their customers.
