Azov One Technopark Joins Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade Register

The Azovsky Technopark, located in the Rostov Region, Russia, has recently been included in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia's register, marking it as the first industrial technopark in the region to meet the required standards. This announcement was made by Igor Sorokin, the Deputy Governor. The project, led by the Technopark Azovsky management company, is set to attract approximately 940 million rubles in investment.

This significant development aims to diversify production, focusing on import substitution among other strategies. The technopark plans include metal recycling, semi-continuous casting, and the extraction of aluminum rods, alongside the high-pressure production of brass products and oxygen-free copper production. The initiative is expected to generate around 100 new jobs.

Initially, the technopark will collaborate with five local enterprises from the metallurgical and mechanical engineering sectors, with agreements already in place with potential residents. Being listed in the register enables the technopark and its managing body to benefit from governmental support measures aimed at boosting industrial activity. This move is anticipated to strengthen the region's industrial base significantly, showcasing the government's commitment to supporting industry growth and innovation.
