EnviroGold Global Advances Demonstration Plant and Expands Team Amid Strategic Partnerships

August 21, 2024

EnviroGold Global, a technology company focused on monetizing metals in mine waste and tailings while improving environmental outcomes, has provided a corporate and operational update highlighting significant progress on several fronts.

The company is ahead of schedule and under budget in commissioning its newly acquired demonstration plant, originally designed for nickel leaching and repurposed for the NVRO Clean Leach Process. The plant, acquired from the Australian government’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), will soon begin processing customer tailings, with updates to follow as the plant becomes fully operational.

EnviroGold has also strengthened its team with the addition of key consultants, including Lisa Park, Jason Amaranti, and Trevor Bilney. These experts bring extensive experience in hydrometallurgy, metallurgical processing, and process engineering, ensuring the successful commissioning and commercialization of the NVRO Clean Leach Process.

The company continues to attract investor interest, having raised $1,378,764 in a private placement, with the placement extended to $2 million. EnviroGold anticipates closing an additional tranche by August 29. The company is also engaged with Sequoia Corporate Finance Pty. Ltd., exploring potential strategic partnerships and investor opportunities.

In terms of customer engagement, EnviroGold is aligning its activities with the upcoming availability of the demonstration plant. The company is targeting over 336 million tonnes of mine tailings from its top 11 customers, representing an estimated US$95 billion in in-situ metal value and a US$5.1 billion revenue opportunity for EnviroGold.

EnviroGold has also engaged Deloitte to assist in securing government grants to support the further development of its mine tailings technologies, including a nickel recovery solution and an iron beneficiation technology, expected to be commercially released in 2025.
