Chinese battery manufacturer Gotion has announced plans to invest in a lithium battery project in Vietnam's Vung Ang Economic Zone, located in Ha Tinh Province. Representatives from Gotion met with the Ha Tinh Economic Zone Management Authority in late October to discuss the development of this energy storage facility, which aims to optimize renewable energy use and provide stable electricity solutions.

The project, in collaboration with VinES Energy Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of Vingroup, represents a $275 million investment and is expected to have an annual production capacity of 5 GWh. The Ha Tinh Economic Zone Management Authority has committed to expediting administrative approvals to support the project's implementation.

Gotion, a subsidiary of Hefei Guoxuan High-Tech Power Energy, is a major player in China’s battery manufacturing industry. The company is known for developing advanced energy solutions and driving innovation in battery technology. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, Gotion also has research and development centers across the United States, China, Japan, Singapore, and Europe.

Gotion High Tech's expertise includes the production of battery components such as cathode materials, cell cores, and battery management systems, in addition to lithium-ion batteries.
