November 7, 2024

On October 15th, Inner Mongolia Weiwang Aluminum Products Processing officially began the trial production phase of its aluminium alloy ingot project. With an investment of RMB 100 million (approximately $13.7 million USD), the facility is set to produce 60,000 tonnes of aluminium alloy ingots annually, using 70,000 tons of recycled aluminium.

The project began construction in August 2020 and has now entered the trial production phase following successful equipment debugging. Beyond production capacity, the project is projected to generate annual sales of RMB 1.2 billion (around $164.6 million USD), with a total profit forecast of RMB 40 million (approximately $5.5 million USD).

Additionally, the project is expected to create employment opportunities for over 50 people, contributing to economic growth and advancing the aluminium industry in Holingol.

The project aims to strengthen the regional aluminium supply chain while promoting sustainable metal production through recycling practices, setting a precedent for further industrial development and sustainability initiatives in Inner Mongolia.
